HOUSTON, Texas

The Senior Software Developer is responsible for designing, building, testing, implementing, and maintaining applications to meet specific company and customer requirements using C# and the Microsoft .NET Framework. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science (data structures, operating systems, algorithms, design patterns, and computer architecture) along with a thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the Agile development methodology. Come apply your creative experience developing desktop, mobile and web-based systems and join the team that is building a new generation of law enforcement applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, research, design, architect, code and test new software products, systems and customer solutions
Recognize potential risk issues to mitigate and escalate concerns as necessary
Write technical specifications and document implementation details as part of product documentation
Maintain existing systems and investigate new technologies to solve difficult or complex business requirements
Develop software code in a timely manner, achieving and meeting established customer and company commitments
Skills & Experience Required:

Possesses a minimum of five (6-8) years experience developing commercial software applications, HEAVY AZURE EXPERIENCE
Possesses Bachelor's degree (BS in Computer Science) or equivalent work experience
Works in Microsoft development environments including Visual Studio 2012, SQL Server, Azure Services
Demonstrates solid knowledge of the Microsoft .NET framework including WPF, C# MVC, ADO.NET and Entity Framework
Exercises hands-on experience with source control systems including Git and TFS
Demonstrates excellent problem solving skills to create new approaches to business challenges
Applies knowledge of design patterns to build effective architectures
Exhibits ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task several active projects
Communicates effectively with all levels of personnel as a team player
Establishes self-motivation and direction to complete assignment
