Requirement for:      Quality Assurance Analyst– Tallahassee, FL

Client:                        Florida Department of Corrections

Term:                         (1) year 

The Department's OIT is seeking the services of one (1) experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst.

Location: The work will be conducted on-site with the Department's OIT at the 4070 Esplanade Way, Tallahassee, Florida.

Scope: The QA Analyst will serve as the principal line of communication for the project team. The duties and responsibilities of this position are as follows, however could be asked to step in to support other QA activities in the project:

Test Case Development and Management:

·       Identify and document end-to-end test scenarios covering all critical business processes and system requirements;

·       Create comprehensive test cases, including specific names, objectives, and detailed test steps;

·       Review and validate test cases with the Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure exhaustive coverage of both functional and non-functional requirements; and

·       Maintain all test assets within Azure DevOps (ADO) to ensure version control and authorized accessibility.

Functional/System Integration Testing (SIT) Test Cases:

·       Engineer test cases for the five agency business systems in scope based on approved requirements, workflows, and system design;

·       Define preconditions and specific test data requirements for every test case to ensure execution readiness; and

·       Specify granular steps and expected results for all System Integration Testing (SIT) scenarios to facilitate objective validation.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Coordination and Facilitation:

·       Coordinate the UAT process in strict alignment with the approved UAT Plan; and

·       Support UAT coordinator in planning sessions, technical walkthroughs, and stakeholder review meetings to ensure alignment.

Testing Support and Execution:

·       Support Department staff directly during execution by providing expert guidance on testing procedures and best practices, including onboarding and testing ADO;

·       Monitor and track testing velocity to ensure the timely completion of all scheduled test cases;

·       Record all test runs with comprehensive detail, including input data, actual results, and identified deviations; and

·       Support and conduct functional and system integration testing of the Department’s business systems, working with the business analyst on the project.

Defect Management:

·       Log defects in the designated management system while categorizing them by severity and business impact;

·       Document reproduction steps and visual evidence for every defect in accordance with the Department’s standards; and

·       Coordinate with the Department’s defect management lead in creating and monitoring the defects with the central defect management tool (ServiceNow).

Reporting and Documentation:

·       Generate test run reports summarizing pass and fail status, defect density, and overall system readiness;

·       Continuous improvements of the ADO testing Dashboards;

·       Submit progress and defect tracking reports to the shared Department repository for formal stakeholder review; and

·       Secure formal approval from the QA Lead for all documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions;

Keen eye for detail to identify even minor defects, using prior experiences and lessons learned;

 

 

Ability to evaluate information, assess risks, and work with the project team to make sound judgments; and

 

 

Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet project internal milestones and deadlines.

The Salesforce Developer / Platform Lead is a senior, hands-on individual contributor responsible for the design, delivery, and long-term stewardship of Salesforce solutions using a configuration- and Flow-first, code-when-necessary approach.

This role blends deep declarative expertise with strong Apex and integration capabilities to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with Salesforce platform best practices.

The Developer Lead partners directly with business stakeholders and end users to Salesforce Developer / Platform Lead understand business processes, clarify requirements, and translate needs into well-architected Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Health Cloud.

In addition to delivery, this role plays a key part in shaping automation strategy, setting platform standards, reducing technical debt, and modernizing existing functionality to support long term organizational growth.

Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Salesforce administrators and developers, promoting platform best practices and raising overall team capability without direct people management responsibility.


Education:

 

College degree, preferably a B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science or a degree with Clinical focus from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience in programming in a distributed computing environment or clinical/healthcare experience


Experience:

 

10+ years of experience in Information Technology or a similar field, with at least 5+ years focused on Salesforce.

Salesforce Administrator Certification

Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I

Extensive hands-on experience working on the Salesforce platform in complex, multi-cloud environments.

Expert-level experience with Salesforce configuration and Flow, including enterprise-scale automation.

Strong experience developing Apex classes, triggers, and integrations.

Experience building and supporting Lightning Web Components.

Deep understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security architecture, and sharing model, along with security and restricted code concepts of managed packages.

Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.

Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with business users and stakeholders.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications:

 

Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification.

Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification.

Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Health Cloud.

Experience working in healthcare or other regulated industries.

Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools, environment strategy, and metadata deployment practices.

Experience of acting as a platform lead or technical owner within a Salesforce program
