Job Title: C++ Developer (Professional)

We have a new contractor requirement for two Linux / C++ Developers in one of our Messaging Services teams. Please find details below.

As a Senior C++ Developer, responsibilities will include:

 

C++ Application Development (80%)

• Participating in engineering life cycle activities, detailed technical software design, software integration, software migration, software deployment and user documentation
• Developing and testing of new application components as well as maintenance/enhancements/bug-fixes
• Coding, testing, and reviewing software using technologies including but not limited to C, C++, STL, Boost, Multithreading, Unix, Perl, Python and XML
• Linux/C++ Developer profile who can build applications on RHEL with C++ experience, fix issues during compilation, converting Shell scripts to Linux from HP. Writes and executes unit tests, fixes code, Shell Scripts , develops Ansible/deployment automation

 

Development Support (20%)

• Supporting new development as well as maintenance of existing code 
• Supporting the set-up of the test environment, writing unit test drivers and functional drivers 
• Providing support to test environments, QA and production as necessary 
• Completing requirement analysis and design of new features and enhancements to existing components 
• Producing/updating solution papers and design documents 
• Participating in design discussions and team meetings related to planning, status updates, and design/code walkthrough meetings

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Requires hands-on experience and very good knowledge of C++.
• Hands-on experience of threading and synchronization models required.
• Experience with one of more of following OS platforms - Windows, RHEL, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX is a must.
• Experience with communication protocols such as TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, HTTP.
• Good knowledge of scripting languages (ksh/ perl/ python)

 

In order to perform the above-mentioned complex duties, we require at least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study.
