Position Description:

 

540 hours for each programmer Need programmers to code major changes for DTMB Design and Construction application. Programmer Converts data from project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to create or modify computer programs: Prepares, or receives from systems analyst detailed workflow chart and diagram to illustrate sequence of steps that program must follow and to describe input, output, and logical operations involved. Enters program codes into computer system. Inputs test data into computer. Programmer capabilities with 1-7 years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, may report directly to a project lead or manager, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

 

Description of the requested work, including deliverables and knowledge transfer:

 

The current application "PIMS" does not serve the purpose of fulfilling all business requirements for tracking projects for DTMB -Design & Construction Division. This application is not user friendly and is hard to maintain. Design & Construction Division found an application used by DNR that could be used with enhancements to meet their business needs. The objective of this project is to use the DNR application and customize certain functionality so that it will fulfill the business requirements. Start out with a copy of DNR application version 3.1 and its corresponding back end database and apply custom changes to make it usable for Design & Construction Division.

 

Skills Required:

 

·         Microsoft Access 2010 Visual Basic for Applications

·         Microsoft SQL Server 2012 

    

Additional Information Agency technical environment for the work:

 

Microsoft XP and Microsoft Win7 desktop operating system, Microsoft Access 2010 Visual Basic for Applications and Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
