Release Manager/Deployment Manager

 

Skills Required

•             Strong process knowledge of System Development Life Cycles;

•             Experience with automated configuration management/code management systems such as CVS, ClearCase or Visual SourceSafe;

•             Strong program and project management skills;

•             Demonstrable experience with program languages and program scripts such as SQL, HTML, Oracle/SQL Server, C++, Visual Basic, Microsoft Active Server Pages;

•             Strong knowledge of testing and defect tracking tools such as HP Quality Center; and

•             Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

1.            Follow designated release management processes in accordance with the existing business planning, work authorization, and release management processes.

2.            Support designated process for priority setting, planning and scheduling of releases.

3.            Perform the release manager role, including:

a.            Plan the release

b.            Qualify Projects/Work Requests for participation in the release

c.             Analyze the release capacity of the Information Technology Organization to support development and deployment of the release

d.            Monitor the release schedule and release risk and report all schedule exceptions as required by the release management process.

e.            Monitor progress toward meeting the release schedule and milestones.

f.             Manage risks and issues related to scope, schedule, and quality

g.            Assess readiness for each subsequent phase of the release

h.            Coordinate post-release lessons learned

i.              Provide release reporting, escalating issues and communicating mitigation plans for risks

j.             Coordinate scheduling of change requests for a late addition of a Project/Work Request to or removal of a Project/Work Request from a release

k.            Manage requirement traceability matrix for work packages between transitioning SDLC phases and map it to code repository

l.              Maintain repository's health; integrate work packages, optimize & baseline releases, patches and hotfixes, access control and provisioning for development

m.           Package and ship executable and runtime libraries, maintain package hub

n.            (Optional) Audit development code against standard coding practice checklists for given technology/language and company specific policies, document compliance level status

o.            Maintain artifacts, software configuration numbers, impacted items, interface dependencies, environment and configurations at release level

Skills Required

•             Experience in working on Unix/Linux platform from Production Support perspective.

•             Production support experience in scheduling, monitoring and deployment. Exposure to shell Shell scripting, Oracle database and PL/SQL.

•             Exposure to COTS tools like BMC Patrol, BMC Remedy, HP-PPM, HP-RUM, HP Sitescope etc.

Roles & Responsibilities

1.            Develop   all installation documents.

2.            Coordinate assembly of new production components.

3.            Migrate Software to all (Test, Production, DR, etc) systems.  Keep environments current at required software release level(s).

4.            Ensure compliance with IT standards.

5.            Maintain appropriate proficiency in migration tools.

6.            Troubleshoot migration problems.

7.            Continuously monitor online Tools/Applications.

8.            Provide corrective actions, trouble-shoot outages/problems and conduct recovery activities.

9.            Control 'segregation of duties' access to datasets and Tools/Applications.

10.          Participate in audit information gathering, and provide information as appropriate.

11.          Maintain the Tools/Application recovery manual.

12.          Conduct test recoveries and off hour's network connectivity tests, troubleshoot outages/problem orders and conduct recovery activities.  

13.          Perform other activities including Tier 2 support, Third Party Software installations (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft, Stellent), testing, and deployment, server lease rolls, coordination with Planning, Design, Deployment, Operational teams, 24x7 monitoring, creation of test, and development environments, and problem management and vendor coordination.

14.          Archive data as business requirements dictate and governed by RIMS policy.

15.          Conduct post-production testing and validation.

16.          Maintain and execute Disaster Recovery Plans in compliance with designated standards

17.          Document and maintain Tools/Application Impact Analysis for Disaster Recovery purposes

18.          Develop adhoc reports from supported tools as required

19.          Perform Capacity planning for all in scope Tools/Applications

20.          Participate in VPMO reviews and implementations

21.          Perform installation and configuration of supported Tools/Applications

22.          Perform the testing and production deployment for all releases, upgrades, patches, and emergency fixes for all supported Tools/Applications.

23.          Perform migrations for Tool Rationalization.

Roles and Responsibilities

1.            Provide assistance for logical database support for deployed Tools/Applications, and for the support of TDM functions. 

2.            Specify recovery procedures for each new Tool/Application Software database.

3.            Analyze database design and its impact on specific Tool/Application Software modules by developing data models, using a common toolset and central repository, and translating logical models into physical designs so that the data model will meet performance requirements.

4.            Identify and evaluate design considerations.

5.            Propose database changes.

6.            Establish and maintain development, test databases and production databases.  Includes Disaster Recovery, redundant, and/or failover databases, where applicable.

7.            Analyze database activity; perform Tool/Application Software database access tuning. Monitor database sizes and advise of actions necessary to ensure continuous operations.

8.            Coordinate to provide design consistency across Tool/Application Software and to identify data redundancies.

9.            Implement new transactions in existing databases.

10.          Participate in the development and maintenance of data standards and definitions.

11.          Provide technical expertise for data architecture issues

12.          Create and update data models (conceptual, logical and physical).

Security Analyst position at Middletown/NJ

 

•             Senor application security associate with specialisation in security testing and scanning

•             Experience/expertise in Web Application Penetration Testing.

•             Experience/expertise in using various scanning and testing tools, experience on HP WebInspect and Fortify tool will be ideal.

•             Should have knowledge of secure code scanning tools and should be able to independently scan applications and provide results.

•             Should be able to analyse and correlate the security findings from the scans to establish the attack patterns and risk profile of the target systems.

•             Should be able to recommend remediation mechanisms to help strengthening of the security controls and improving resilience level of target systems

•             Should have knowledge of web technologies like Java, ASP, .Net and database systems such as Oracle, Informix, Sybase, MS SQL

•             Security certifications preferred
