Sr. BI Developer

 

Our client is currently seeking a BI Developer to join the Business Intelligence team in Westlake, Texas.  This hands-on position will administer reporting, visualization and predictive analytic/modelling tools, offer guidance on report/dashboard design, and provide production support.  This is a great opportunity for an innovative technologist to work with cutting edge solutions in the explosive domain of Business Intelligence.

 

Primary Responsibilities

• Actively participate on development projects to optimize design for reporting
• Administer, develop and maintain reporting, visualization and predictive analytic/modelling tools
• Provide consultation on report and dashboard design/development, as well as performance tuning to our business partners
• Provide stellar production support for all BI tool issues
• Partner with vendors to resolve issues and assist in upgrades

Education and Experience

• 4 - 7 years of experience administering SAP Business Objects (desktop and mobile)
• At least 1 year of Tableau experience (used for Visualization)
• B.S. degree in computer science or related discipline

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
• Experience migrating Business Objects 3.0 to 4.0
• Ability to  translate business goals into technology solutions
• Strong knowledge of dimensional modeling and SQL
• ETL tool experience a plus
• Knowledge of Big Data and/or Data Science a plus
• Ability to apply agile principles
