Title: QA Lead

Location: Libertyville, IL

Duration: 12 months

Rate: $50/hr C2C

 

*Targeting candidates with large-scale implementation experience. Financial industry domain knowledge would be a plus.*

 

Job Description:       

• 10+ years of experience in but not limited to QA & Testing Methodologies, Test Management and Test Data Management.
• Prior experience in using one or more test data management solutions.
• Experience in test data management process design.
• Good understanding of test data management concepts such as Data Masking, Data Sub setting and Data Manufacture.
• Expert level knowledge (ability to independently write, maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures) for one or more databases. Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, SYBASE, etc.
• Thorough understanding of database concepts like tables, views, constraints, sequence, joins, triggers, procedures and functions.
• Working knowledge of various technology and file formats – Mainframe, distributed, XML, relational and non-relational schema etc.
• In depth knowledge on securing, smaller, targeted versions of databases for testing and development or database sub-setting.
• Identifying and securing sensitive data records using data masking or data de-identification methods
• Creating high-quality test data from scratch through modeling and sampling existing data.
• Experience to enrich test data with data manipulation and bulk data loads.
• Theoretical or/and practical understanding of test data optimization algorithms such as ALL-Pairs and orthogonal arrays is preferred.
• Experience in project planning and coordination.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills

• Own data in non-production environments and act as quality gate keeper.
• Act as subject-matter-expert, educate all stakeholders and implement best practices related to test data provision, data masking and management.
• Advise and provide best practice in the understanding and usage of test data.
• Understand business requirements and identify test data, scenarios and cases needed to test application against them.
• Discover, analyze and understand underlying data model of a given software application.
• Gather test data requirements and deliver test data output from/to several testing groups.
• Gather, analyze and formulate test data requirements and provide solutions.
• Test data maintenance functions (age, rollback, truncate data).
• Maintain a close relationship with application team including business analysis, engineering and development and database teams.
• Support the execution of test plans.
• Remain current on current test data management methods, processes and tools.
