POSITION: iOS Developer/ Lead
LOCATION: Chicago, IL
DURATION: 6+ Months

JOB DESCRIPTION

Description:

• This person will be primarily responsible for maintaining an existing codebase and implementing newer features in a customer-facing iOS app.   
  
• The mobile application will be contextually aware of the user's surroundings through the use of iBeacons, geo fencing, and geo location.
  
• This person will work with a server-side applications team to implement new functionality and maintain existing features. 
  
• In addition to hands-on development, this person will also be responsible for iOS development architecture decisions, coordinating with visual designer on implementation details, story pointing and assessing sprint velocity, and providing oversight to iOS developers.
  
• Successful candidates for the position will be self-starters with good communication skills.
  

Experience:

• 5+ years of general development experience with at least 3 years developing mobile applications.
  
• Must have one or more apps on the app store.
  
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing in Objective-C for iOS.
  
• 2+ years in team lead role for iOS mobile development projects.
  

Requirements:

• Demonstrable Objective-C fundamentals, including a solid working knowledge of core development frameworks for the iOS platform required. 
  
• Mobile application architecture and design experience on both platforms required.
  
• Broad general exposure to and experience with open source technologies, tools, and frameworks that facilitate development for the iOS ecosystem.
  
• Experience with collaborative design, development, and documentation of RESTful API's required. 
  
• Ample experience with Objective-C blocks and multi-threaded concepts.
  
• Familiarity with Apple iTunes Connect application deployment tools and infrastructure a strong plus. 
  
• Experience developing push notifications, cursor library, and caching within the iOS framework is a strong plus.
  
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is desired.
  
• Experience with Android platform and technologies are a plus.
  
• Hotel / hospitality experience is a plus.
