Title- QA Tester(Mainframe)

Location-Bloomington, IL

Duration- 6months

 

 

Leading Functional and Regression Testing effort of middleware testing projects in integration Web Services area.
Works in Agile Environment of software development.
Provide project execution estimates, develop Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Data and Test Execution Reports for new and ongoing projects.
Working in fixing the Production issues (defects) for applications, using Java Web Services.
Interacting with Business Analysts and System Analysts on regular basis to gather the functional requirements.
Analyze the business and functional requirements, and finalize the testing scope of the project.

Use technical expertise in Mainframe Testing, SOA Testing, System Migration Testing and Automation Testing to do analysis, coding, testing, deployment and post implementation support.
Conducts Functional testing of middleware components, and also support performance testing.
Expertise skills in Black Box and Gray Box testing.
Performs database testing on DB2 and Postgres using SQL queries.
Work with technical architects and User Interface developers to get the software system working.
Work to streamline existing processes to make client applications more robust, reliable and process oriented.
Ensure that development and testing is conducted as per Process guidelines given by client.
Looks after the Defect Management, Configuration Management and Knowledge Management process.
Works with offshore teams, to achieve Global Delivery Model and round the clock application support.
Communicates daily project status to varying levels of management.
Identify gaps in current process and tools and suggested new ways to improve them
