Job Role: Sr. Java Developer (Groovy/Grails)
Experience : 10 years

Duration: 12 Months
Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills
• Must have 5+ years of strong experience delivering applications developed on Groovy/Grails (Candidates with minimum experience of Groovy/Grails are not preferred as the primary platform is Groovy/Grails)
• Must be able to come in and hit the ground running
• Experience in developing Java/J2EE applications on HTML5
• Experience with developing Restful APIs and web services
• Experience with executing Agile projects
• Understanding of GUI design principles
• Experience in maximizing the use of modern enterprise integration technologies to accelerate time to market
• A framework development mindset, understanding services architecture and design
• Deep understanding of SOAP, REST, WSDL, UDDI, JSON
• Knowledge of relational database structure and design. Experience with MS SQL Server databases is preferred.
• Experience integrating front-end interactions using JavaScript and jQuery
Roles and responsibility
• Design and lead Groovy application development for a large scale program
•Work as part of the development team to implement enterprise wide common web services (REST and SOAP) as well as business specific web services.
•Coach and help development teams about the best practices and lessons learnt from earlier Groovy/Grails engagements
•Perform regular maintenance and bug fixes for the application being developed using JIRA project tracking tool.
•Collaborate across multiple teams
•Estimation of development tasks and reporting of development progress.
•Mentoring of junior engineers
•Expected to be a team player and a self-starter working under minimal supervision
