This role requires a software engineering skillset – not just scripting. The ideal candidate is a mid-level backend developer with experience using linux, docker, kubernetes, Jenkins (or similar) and AWS. Administering and configuring Kubernetes/AWS/Jenkins are out of scope and handled by another team. Strong python is preferred, but good software engineering experience is most important. It's okay if they only have a year or two and have spent more time in other server-side languages like Go, C++, C#, Java, etc.

The role at the L2 level would need some support with networking, and load balancing from Cloud team.
