SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting consultant)

LOCATION – MOUNTAINVIEW CA

Day1 onsite – local preferred

 

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SAP's Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) module and be able to support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the SAP RAR solution in a dynamic business environment. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, SAP technical teams, and other functional experts to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of RAR to meet regulatory requirements and business goals. Key Responsibilities:

● Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting) for clients across various industries.

● Analyze client requirements and design SAP RAR solutions that align with their business needs and revenue recognition standards (ASC 606/IFRS 15).

● Configure and maintain the SAP RAR module, ensuring proper integration with other SAP modules (FI, CO, SD, MM, etc.)

. ● Perform detailed gap analysis and provide solutions for the effective setup of SAP RAR, including handling multi-element arrangements, performance obligations, and revenue recognition schedules.

● Provide expert-level guidance on SAP RAR functionality, workflows, and best practices.

● Assist in the testing and validation of RAR configuration to ensure that the revenue recognition processes are working accurately. ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and IT, to ensure a seamless deployment of SAP RAR

. ● Provide training and support to end users on the RAR module.

● Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support for the SAP RAR system.

● Stay updated on changes to revenue re

cognition standards and SAP RAR features, ensuring compliance with legal and financial reporting standards. Qualifications:

 

● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

● Minimum of [X] years of hands-on experience with SAP RAR implementation, configuration, and support.

● Strong understanding of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606, IFRS 15).

● Familiarity with integration of SAP RAR with other SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, etc.)

. ● Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA is a plus.

● Experience with business processes in the finance, accounting, and/or sales areas is a plus.

● Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams.

 

Preferred Skills:

1. SAP Certified in Revenue Accounting and Reporting (or related certification).

2. Knowledge of global revenue recognition compliance and reporting requirements.

3. Experience with project management methodologies and tool
