JOB TITLE: SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER

Location- Milwaukee, WI

 

Contract- 8months

 

 

SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:

In accordance with sound and acceptable engineering principles, develops Functional Test equipment hardware, software and methods for use in the testing of manufactured products. Develops automation solutions using in house automation framework and other commercially available solutions. Receives assignments from department manager.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

1. Development and maintenance of automated tests using RA Test Automation Framework

2. Execution of manual tests, both GUI and non-GUI

 

Leadership

1. Works independently, with little supervision.

 

Interpersonal

1. Good communications skills, influence capabilities, and an ability to work within a cross-functional team environment to achieve position objectives. Projects involve the interaction between departments including Design Engineering, Operations, and Quality.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree in electronics or electrical engineering, or computer science.

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Familiarity with functional test automation systems and automating manual functional tests

2. Experience with the use of C++/C#/.NET in a windows environment.

3. Familiarity with Rockwell Automation products (desired, but not required).

4. GUI testing experience

5. Client/Server Application Experience (desired, but not required).

6. Strong scripting language design and coding skills.
