Job Title : Web Developer /Sr Software Engineer

Location : Camas, WA

Duration : 3+ Months

 

Hiring Manager notes:

 

The position requires proven experience in web application development and prototyping with specific emphasis in server-side scripting.  Expertise of at least one scripting language, such as PHP, Ruby, Java, node.js or Python is required.  Additionally, working knowledge of HTTP and WebSocket protocols is required.  An understanding of XML, JSON and JavaScript is also preferred.

 

Job Description:

 

Our client looking for an outstanding software development engineer to join our team and contribute to the research and development of next generation broadcast and transport technologies.  As a member of the group, you will be actively involved in creating and refining technology for these emerging systems.  These systems aim to provide new features and functionalities with specific emphasis on ultra-high definition services, multi-screen/multi-device delivery, extensive personalization, and evolving delivery paradigms including over-the-top, terrestrial broadcast, Internet streaming, physical media and hybrid services. The position requires proven experience in web application development and prototyping with specific emphasis in server-side scripting.  Expertise of at least one scripting language, such as PHP, Ruby, Java, node.js or Python is required.  Additionally, working knowledge of HTTP and WebSocket protocols is required.  An understanding of XML, JSON and JavaScript is also preferred.

 

Responsibilities

 

·         Develop server side applications to enable rapid prototyping of next generation broadcast and transport technologies

·         Collaborate with R&D teams in America and Japan to communicate research results and define new requirements and development targets

 

Qualifications Required

 

·         Expertise in server side development with at least one of the following: PHP, Ruby, Java, node.js or Python

·         Experience and knowledge of HTTP (RFC2616) and WebSocket protocols

·         Experience and knowledge of JSON and XML

·         Experience and knowledge of JavaScript

 

Qualifications Preferred

 

·         Experience and knowledge of iOS and/or Android network application prototyping

·         Experience and knowledge of web security mechanisms and protocols

·         Experience and knowledge of databases.  (For example, MySQL.)
