Job Title: DevOps Engineer with Java, Python, NodeJS Experience

Location: Mclean, VA

Duration: 6+ Months

 

1.  Embed yourself with Developers and benchmark and learn their SDLC, especially their build, deployment, test and support processes with a view to increasing efficiency and automation through modern day Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline
 2.  Become a point person for infrastructure, incident and environment upgrades, owning problems and demonstrating troubleshooting aptitude
 3.  Identify and collect metrics to move deployment and support organization centrally
 4.  Provide leadership and subject matter expertise for establishing a best-practice technical operations organization - develop, implement and augment processes, procedure, methods, tools and standards

Key to Success

 1.  First and foremost a Software developer at heart (JAVA, Python, NodeJS, Relational and Document based database) who embraces quality control and testing
 2.  A well-rounded engineer who appreciated a product's life beyond the development realm and its challenges, including platform proficiency with Network, Firewalls, Virtualization and Security
 3.  A technology lover who is curious to learn and enjoys implementing solutions, singlehandedly and collaboratively
 4.  Enjoys delighting stakeholder - troubleshooter and solutions provider
 5.  People person who partners at all levels and makes everyone at ease while addressing challenging situations
 6.  Embraces DevOps philosophy where automation is king, especially incorporating quality control gates
