Role: Middleware Admin

Location: San Diego, CA (Initial Remote)

Duration: 12+ Months Contract 

  

Skill set -

·         Has 5+ IT professional experience and performed admin activities (especially DR/Failover activities)

·         Strong understanding of Application Disaster recovery/Fail over/High Availability concepts

·         Strong knowledge in scripting – Shell, Linux commands, Windows commands, Python, etc.

·         Strong knowledge in different systems and OS – Linux, Windows, Cent OS, Red hat Linux, etc.

·         Strong knowledge in automation of repetitive application tasks.

·         Knowledge in monitoring/tracking/Documentation tools - Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Data dog, etc.

·         Good to have knowledge in AWS, DevOps (Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible etc.)

·         Good analytical ability, problem solving and debugging skills

 

JD/Responsibilities - Application Admin Support

·         Perform failover/ DR activities and post validations across all the applications (home-grown custom, Regular, Enterprise, Middleware, Web Apps, etc.) based on the documentation/process defined.

·         Perform OS patching activities across all the applications based on the documentation/process defined.

·         Perform Automation of well documented processes.

·         Coordinate with application owners/App admin teams to define/understand the process(Mainly Failover activities/Patching).

·         Maintain documentation for all the activities for reference purposes.
