Job Title : Sr. PHP / DRUPAL  Developer

Location : Rockville, MD and Arlington, VA

 

Duration : Fulltime

 

 

Job Description:

 

The Sr. Associate, Technology is a member of the project team who takes responsibility for implementing parts of the system architecture using best practices.  This will include coding, unit testing, using design patterns, learning new technologies, and becoming an expert in one part of the system.

 

Qualified applicants must be detail-oriented, result-driven individuals who work well within team environments and have good interpersonal skills, as well as good client interaction skills.

 

Responsibilities:

• Configure Drupal and create custom modules to meet requirements
• Create scripts to automate deployment and build out of site

• Design and develop new code and/or support operations, maintenance, and enhancements of existing code.
• Develop conceptual and technical design including use of OOA and OOD techniques.
• Conduct unit testing.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Legal Permanent Resident
• Eligible for U.S. Government Clearance. (Clearance Requirement: Public Trust)

 

Experience Guidelines: 

• Demonstrates ability to configure Drupal and create custom Drupal modules using the core API
• Demonstrates ability to use common Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, and Panels, extending them through code
• Can code in PHP, HTML/5, CSS/3, and JavaScript/jQuery
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Minimum 3 years' experience with the LAMP (Linux, MySQL, PHP) technology stack
• Minimum 1 year design and development experience with Drupal web content management solution (WCMS)
• Experience working with PHP and / or Drupal solutions in a cloud-based environment is desirable
• Familiar with SQL and / or experience with database technologies such as Oracle or MySQL
• Good understanding of all parts of Software Engineering (e.g. Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience working in agile or iterative SDLCs

 

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree required from college or University
