Skills Required and Job Description:

Interview Mode:: Phone hire Client will pay travel expenses if required Consultant must have Sterling Commerce Testing experience. Responsibilities: Lead a team of 10-15 QA engineers as well as onshore and offshore contract resources on projects from Requirements to Implementation. Ensure the development and maintenance of test strategies, test plans, test cases, and release reports. Manage multiple projects with minimal guidance, including delegating tasks, managing schedules for the QA team, and determining project resource requirements. Work closely with the QA Technical team with prioritization of automation, and building and maintaining of QA test environments and tools. Establish process for defect tracking and reporting. Coordinate on project goals with other Leads, including Development, Configuration Management, Project Management, and PMO. Research, evaluate, and recommend test tools. Establish and maintain productive relationships with Development Teams and other Vendors. Provide weekly status reports. Conduct training and mentoring with staff members. Take part in interviewing process and recommend candidates for hire. Provide primary input to performance reviews, recommend candidates for promotions, manage performance improvement plans. Stay abreast of new technologies, developments, and industry standards in the Quality Assurance field.  Other duties as assigned Detail oriented, excellent organizational and planning skills In-depth experience with advanced and multiple testing methodologies Understanding of automation approaches, processes, and tools Exceptional oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior staff, and internal or external customers Knowledge of multiple platforms Have an understanding of relational database concepts, technologies and tools Effective leadership and mentoring skills Proficient at presenting information in a formal manner Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in time-critical situations.  EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 7 -10 years experience in software testing or quality assurance position 3 - 5  years leading quality assurance projects or teams Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience in related field
