J2EE Prod Support role
I need someone for a long term J2EE Prod Support role with My Client in Owings Mills, MD. This is a backfill for a guy we have leaving this Friday, and as of now, we are the only company working on this. Please make sure they have strong communication skills, and can come to MD for an in-person interview. If you send resumes to me, I will review, and forward them to my Tier 1.
Job Description:
This position provides production support for Websphere/Portal applications in the Institutional business line. The applications are integrated with both Oracle and DB2 databases and are used in support of critical business functions. The developer role will be responsible for understanding and supporting all products and processes in production to ensure that applications have high availability in order to meet business needs for successful customer servicing in the Institutional business line. The developer will become the subject matter expect on these applications and support the day to day operations. The developer should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as interaction with various levels of management with IT and business will be required.
Job Responsibilities:
The developer will be responsible for timely and thorough troubleshooting of application issues and will implement solutions quickly. They will coordinate with the appropriate internal department's resources to assist with problem resolution. There may be some interface with vendors as needed. Communications will occur both verbal and written to internal and external customers. Work with multiple groups across the firm to resolve issues. They will provide on-call support including off-hours support as needed.
