Position : ODI Developer/Architect
Location : Boston
Duration: Long term
Type of position: Contract
SUMMARY: We are looking for a ODI/ODQ architect/admin with a skill set of ODI 10g/11g and ODQ 10g/11g who also has extensive knowledge of Data Warehousing Concepts and Data Modeling.
DETAIL: Required experience and responsibilities we are looking for are as below;
REQUIRED
• Extensive hands-on experience to design and implement BI/ETL architecture solutions according to ODI standard practices
• Experience in BI with a skill set of ODI 11g and ODI 10g with good understanding of Data Warehousing Concepts and Data Modeling
• Experience in Installing and Configuring ODI11g and ODI10g on Dev, Prod and Test servers with different OS platforms (Windows and Linux RHEL)
• Experience in Installing and Configuring ODQ11g and ODQ10g on Dev, Prod and Test servers with different OS platforms (Windows and Linux RHEL)
• Experience upgrading to ODI11g from older ODI versions on Dev, Prod and Test servers with different OS platforms (Windows and Linux RHEL)
• Experience upgrading to ODQ11g from older ODQ versions on Dev, Prod and Test servers with different OS platforms (Windows and Linux RHEL)
• Complete understanding around ODI/ODQ administration, maintenance and configuration skills
• Complete understanding of ODI/ODQ architecture and infrastructure requirements
• Experience in working with multiple source/target systems such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, XML files, flat files, MS access/excel documents.
• Experience in working with various KMs that are used for with the sources/targets above.
• Experience in working with customized knowledge modules
• Worked with ODI Security creating users/profiles, apply restriction define access and apply securities.
• Created ODI/ODQ BI Solution Architectures to define and agree on the BI/ETL implementation road map, per ODI/ODQ best practices
• Documented the entire ODI/ODQ Installation and Migration procedure.
• Interacted with Oracle/ODI/ODQ technical team to get the resolution of problems / bugs in ODI/ODQ.
PLUS
• Experience in architecting to design and create data marts from various heterogeneous data sources and designed Repository architecture for ODI environments.
• Experience in Gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements
• Experience with Data Warehouse Concepts, Methodologies and SDLC.
• Performed ODI Scheduling - monitoring for scheduled reports & error notifications
• Performed backup of Repositories using Export Wizard creating XML files. Automating this process within ODI using packages.
