Role : DW Technical Lead

Location: Detroit, MI

Duration: 6 months to start (possibility of an extension)

Interview Process: Phone Screen(s), Possible Face-to-Face

 

Overview: currently seeking a Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse Technical Lead for one or more large strategic initiatives. The ideal individual will have 8+ years of industry experience, obtained a degree, and be responsible for successful technical delivery of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence projects using a formal project management methodology. They will also have experience with enterprise architecture, new technology implementation, research and evaluation of emerging technologies, strategic technology planning, consulting, software validation, business support and health care industry.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

 

·         Minimum eight (8) years in a Technical Lead or Consulting role leading Information Management related initiatives (system integration, data warehouse build, data mart build, or similar) is required

·         Health care payer experience is required

·         Experience utilizing or leading implementations leveraging Informatica ETL tools required

·         Experience in Cognos BI Reporting tools preferred

·         Experience in one or more of major metadata tools and their administration

·         Experience in one or more of major data modeling tools such as Erwin, Data Architect, Oracle Designer and their administration

·         Experience in one or more data bases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server.

·         High Microsoft Project skills with PMP is a plus.

·         Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

·         Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting

·         Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

·         Utilizes solid knowledge of the Project Management Institute's standards and terminology

Role: BI/DW Solutions Architect

Location: Detroit, MI

Duration: 6 months to start (possibility of an extension)

Overview: Catalyst Solutions is currently seeking a BI/DW Solutions Architect. The ideal individual will have 8+ years of industry experience, obtained a degree, and be responsible for successful architecture and delivery of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence projects. They will also have experience with enterprise architecture, new technology implementation, research and evaluation of emerging technologies, strategic technology planning, consulting, software validation, business support and health care industry.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Develops and monitors the organization's technology architecture and future technology vision within BI.
• Identifies emerging technologies, implements and monitors best practices for technology architecture in BI.
• Develops and monitors the architecture, ensuring compliance with enterprise principles for reducing complexity, ensuring designs align with architecture.
• Provides strategic planning and comprehensive senior level technical consulting to IT senior management
  and senior technical staff.
• Guides and consults with IT management and technical staff regarding use of emerging technologies and associated services.
• Participates in the evaluation, selection and application of new and emerging tools and techniques.
• Has wide latitude in determining creative solutions to strategic and operational needs.
• Mentor team and help with day-to-day technical questions
• Provide conceptual solutions, data model and high level designs for data integration, data mart and MDM projects.
• Supervising and/or assisting the continuous enhancement and support of existing Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions
