Job details:

We are seeking a seasoned, self-motivated candidate with proven expertise in SharePoint 2010 to create a sustainable help desk function. This position will also be responsible for site administration, content creation and maintenance including integration of metrics, reporting and tools. The candidate must be able to provide guidance on out-of-the box SharePoint offerings, as well as, customized solutions to meet specific business needs. The candidate will also interface with the SharePoint Infrastructure team, site collection managers and site owners.

Responsibilities:

·         Help Desk and Request Fulfillment:

o   Establish a sustainable SharePoint help desk function with documented workflows and processes, contacts and escalation procedures

o   Coordinate work distribution with Client's India SharePoint Center of Excellence

o   Create and/or validate requests and requirements.

o   Draft, edit and format requirements for moderately complex technical processes and other content for the Team SharePoint site

o   Author basic help screens for e-tools either through discovery or from information provided by others

·         Content:

o   Develop application or functions utilizing out-of-the box SharePoint features, Designer created applications and/or customer development

o   Work with DCT users to define SharePoint business requirements, analyze processes, deploy and test changes.

o   Build and maintain metric repositories

o   Create and maintain consolidated views for DCT calendars

o   Create sustainable resource guides to provide tools for managers to track finances, forecasts, deliverables

·         Training:

o   Provide training of end-user functionality in SharePoint technology and develop documentation for applications

o   Consult and provide direction on technical integration, best practices, and design across DCT

o   Mentor new team members

o   Provide planning and project management support

·         Strategy:

o   Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential applications on service offerings and products provided by IT

o   Collaborate with governance and administration teams to establish governance around SharePoint usage and deployment, and work within specific Change Management procedures. Coordinate recommendations to help ensure overall alignment and standardization and to maintain up-to-update functionality.

o   Participate in SharePoint project initiatives to deploy new functionality and/or enhance existing SharePoint functionality

Required Skills:

·         A minimum of 3 years solid experience with SharePoint development and administration including SharePoint designer and InfoPath

·         Experience working in a controlled development environment relying on Source Code Control systems and automated deployment

·         Proven experience of SharePoint 2010 /.NET application development, which includes use of the SharePoint API and creation of web parts

·         Ability to customize SharePoint beyond "off the shelf" implementation.

·         Ability to convert requirements into technical solutions using appropriate SharePoint web parts, workflows and Web Development technologies

·         Experience in workflow creation using SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio and other workflow tools.

·         SharePoint 2010/2013 and supporting technologies, including SharePoint Designer and InfoPath.

·         Solid understanding of SharePoint API's and Stack including SQL server and IIS

·         The ability to diagnosis complex SharePoint issues

·         Strong knowledge of SharePoint site collection, site owner level administration.

·         8+ years of experience in technology

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience.

·         Excellent Communication and problem-solving skills, with experience interfacing directly with business end-users

Preferred Skills:

·         Microsoft SharePoint 2010 certifications

·         Knowledge of best practices in Web systems including security, performance, standards, procedures, controls, and Web technical design and architecture

·         Must have the ability to keep up-to-date with emerging Microsoft/SharePoint technologies and best practices

·         Java Script, Windows Workflow Foundation, Visual Studio 2010, SQL 2005/2008, SQL Reporting Services, SQL Analytical Services, IIS 7, Powershell scripts, BI/Reporting technologies and Active Directory helpful.

·         Project management, security technologies, and/or Lean Sigma training or experience

·         Experience developing and designing with SharePoint Designer, SharePoint Workflow tools, and InfoPath.

·         Experience and knowledge of jQuery, HTML5, CSS, C#, ASP.NET, .NET, LINQ, SQL and JavaScript programming languages useful.

·         Experience working with SQL Server 2008 or newer.

·         Strong business analysis skill within SharePoint environment.

·         Strong organization, problem-solving and priority management skills.

·         Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.

·         Goal- and deadline-oriented.

·         Proven oral and written communication skills.

·         Knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies and Windows operating systems.
