PL/SQL Developer  with oracle

Duration:1+ years

Location:Annapolis, MD

Education:

Oracle PL/SQL Certification

 

Experience:

8+ years of SQL and PL/SQL programming experience.

 

Essential Functions:

Responsible for analyzing, testing, debugging and repairing existing PL/SQL based applications.   Responsible for analyzing new business rules and interfaces in order to design and implement new Oracle objects.

Prepares and maintains documentation on new and existing data models. Prepares and maintains documentation for new and existing programming objects.

Packages and configures Oracle object components for deployment across Development, Test and

Production Database Environments.

 

 

Works with Architects and Oracle DBA staff to establish standards for developing and deploying Oracle objects.

Assists BI staff with reporting requirements and solutions.

Evaluates and enhances SQL performance.

 

 

Preferred:

Solid development skills with  Oracle PL/SQL ( Packages, Functions, Procedures, triggers ), Materialized Views, DBLinks and Oracle jobs.

Strong analytical skills for evaluating, documenting and enhancing existing and new data models.   Experience with Data Warehouse/ Data Mart design.

Experience with asynchronous event-driven applications.

 

Domain knowledge of court related concepts and business activities are preferred. Additionally:

Some knowledge of BI Publisher is preferred. Some knowledge of the Java syntax is preferred.

Some knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services ( SSRS) is preferred. Some knowledge of XML syntax and parsing is preferred.

 

 

Skills/Abilities:

Good communication and documentation skills are essential.

Must have the ability to break down complex programming concepts into organized and concise units. Solid understanding of relational data concepts and the ability to apply these concepts to concrete solutions.
