We are looking for AIX Administrator

JOB TITLE: AIX Administrator

LOCATION: Austin, TX

START DATE: ASAP

DURATION: 1680 hours through August 31, 2014 with probable extension

DUE DATE: COB 11/1/13

JOB DESCRIPTION/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

             

            DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

Worker will work on the design, configuration and optimization of existing and new enterprise AIX/Power infrastructure and systems.

 

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Expert-level knowledge/experience with installation, administration, tuning, performance and maintenance of enterprise AIX/Power architecture, infrastructure and systems including LPARs, NIM, PowerVM, VIOS, HMC, LVM, LPM, MPIO, VLAN, SVC, security and related enterprise-grade technology knowledge necessary for highly available, redundant systems.  Strong working-knowledge of IBM enterprise storage technologies including SAN Volume Controllers and DS-series disk systems is necessary.

 

            Minimum Requirements:

Years	Skills/Experience
8	Installation/administration of AIX in an enterprise environment
5	Installation/administration of IBM enterprise storage (SVC, DS8xxx)
Certification or Equivalent	IBM Certified Advanced Technical Expert - AIX" and/or "Certified Systems Expert – AIX" (or clearly demonstrable equivalent experience/knowledge)

        

            Preferences:

Years	Skills/Experience
5	Cisco SAN fabric knowledge
