Job Title: Front end Web Developer
Location: Midtwown New York City
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months +

We're seeking a developer with a strong knowledge of front-end technologies that's interested in living on the bleeding edge.

• You'll work with a smart, dedicated development team to build the next iteration.
• The ideal candidate will be someone that is technically curious, has experience with JavaScript MVC frameworks, follows DRY principles, and writes code with performance, SEO-friendly and scalability in mind.

Skills & Requirements:

Required:

• Five years of experience designing and building complex web applications
• Implement sophisticated user interaction using standards compliant XHTML, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, JSONP
• Create quality HTML, CSS, and JS using Twig templates based on Photoshop PSD files and specifications
• Experience writing OO JavaScript, jQuery plugins
• Experience using one or more JavaScript MVC frameworks (Backbone.js, AngularJS, etc)
• Develop prototypes and templates for various web applications
• Unix / Linux proficiency
• Experience with version control (git, svn)
• Deep understanding of client-side performance optimization
• Visual design acumen and understanding of UX principles and best practices
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills

Desired:

• Experience with SASS
• Experience with PHP/WordPress
• GitHub profile
