Job Description:            

 

·         Offshore/Onsite                : Onsite

- Contributes to the development of Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies. Identifies viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality.

- Collaborates with product and development teams to identify product and technical requirements.

- Reviews and verifies requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with an emphasis towards product testability and verification.

- Ensures proper execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts. - --Participates in design, code and functional product reviews.

- Works with other Quality Assurance Engineers or Software Engineers to identify, reproduce and document bugs or defects.

- Assists in providing guidance and mentorship for junior-level Quality Assurance Engineers. Provides technical leadership and consultation with regards to practices, procedures and techniques.

- Supports trials of new infrastructure designs/services.

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Desired skills:

 

·         Familiarity with Cable TV systems including VOD products, technologies and industry trends

·         Knowledge of Cisco HE architecture and interfaces is highly desirable

·         Linux, Unix, and Windows Operating Systems

·         Strong knowledge of IP networks

·         Video headend knowledge including RF cabling, signal measurement, and distribution

·         Programming experience, familiarity with scripting languages

·         Understanding and experience of Java Platform, WildFly/JBoss AS

·         Working knowledge of Splunk, 5-7 yrs experience w/ RDBS administration

·         Knowledge of software development life cycle and test process and design skills

·         Knowledge and practical application of software development best practices

·         Proficiency with defect tracking software such as Bugzilla, Jira, ALM

·         Experience w/ formal SW engineering processes, risk assessment, application of test regiments

·         Experience with Agile methodology and working knowledge of Rally

·         Experience and knowledge of DTACS and SCP/SCC Encryption

·         Experience  and knowledge of DNCS/EC/ECS and Cisco headend equipment

·         Experience  with VSphere and VCenter

·         Knowledge of Informix Database

·         Experience and knowledge of Powerkey and Cisco settops.
