Mobile Applications Engineer
A Mobile Applications Engineer to be involved in the development of mobile/web applications for a consumer networking product.
Responsibilities:
· Development of iOS and/or Android native applications
· Integration with embedded web based applications
· Flexible code development: new code development as well as modifying existing code
· Scoping and architecting of specific features
· Effective communication skills at building relationships across organizations in verbal and written form, since you will be responsible for developing and documenting the web/mobile experience to technical teams and stakeholders
· Strong team player
· Strong analytical and process-oriented problem-solving skills
· Ability to work without much direction when needed
· Experience with OOP and Agile development process
· Expert at developing apps & web apps for iPhone or Android
· Proficient at writing Objective-C for iOS and/or JAVA for Android
· Skilled at writing clear and concise code with meaningful comments and proper documentation
· Solid understanding of threading in mobile applications
· Experience working with UIWebViews / WKWebView
· Experience building and animating custom UI components strictly from code
· Experience with cross platform display and performance optimization
· Comfortable using source control
· Experience with Sockets & Long Polling & XMLRPC / JSON
· Good understanding of data driven apps
· Understanding of HTML, CSS, JS / AJAX, DOM, jQuery and other frameworks.
· Creative problem solving
· Code and process examples of past work required
· Bachelor's degree in New Media Development, Human Factors/Ergonomics, Computer Science, User Interface/Interaction Design, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field is required
