Title: Business Analyst – Data Governance
Type: 6 months+
Location: San Ramon, CA 

Required Skills:

·         Three years of experience working as an analyst in a governance team Knowledge and understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality.

·         Knowledge and understanding of Data Management.

·         Knowledge and understanding of insurance and/or financial services industry.

·         Extensive knowledge and understanding of how data quality affects business decisions.

·         Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent education and related training

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with thoroughness and attention to detail is highly desired.

 

Position Objective:

 

This position will work in Corporate Finance in our Data Governance Organization under the Chief Data Officer. This individual is responsible for enabling IT related tasks based on enterprise data policies, standards, and processes. Assists a team of data quality and data analysts members to ensure high quality and available data within the organization. Liaison with enterprise data governance team in implementing and executing enterprise data governance and data quality framework is in consistent with the organizations goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

·         Participates in the planning and implementation of projects and strategic initiatives for the Business Unit/Department.

·         Guides implementation of end-to-end process and data quality framework for assessing decisions that ensures the suitability of data for its intended purpose.

·         Facilitates business team members to define business needs through utilization of effective elicitation techniques.

·         Evaluates data gathered from multiple sources, reconciles differences, and ensures consistent approaches, data interpretation, and results measurements are employed.

·         Participate in Data Governance Organization, its vision and direction.
