Role: Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Richmond, VA

Duration: 12+ Months

 

Position Description

Seeking a candidate with deep knowledge and experience analyzing, researching, and documenting systems and infrastructure as well as related processes within on-premise and Cloud environments.

 

Your future duties and responsibilities

Azure Cloud Engineer will be responsible for analyzing existing systems currently in an on-premise environment to ensure system boundaries are properly identified and all integrations are included in a subsequent migration to a Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure. This resource will work with client, CGI and other 3rd party resources to document existing systems and processes as well as the targeted migration platform in Azure. This is a techno-functional analyst role and requires the ability to analyze environments, research application and infrastructure scenarios and dependencies in support of a migration to Azure, and document processes as well as findings from their analysis to support the project.

 

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To be successful in this role include 8+ years' experience in the following areas:

• Experience analyzing complex multi-tier on premise, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS based systems
• Experience documenting systems, processes, and procedures
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure DevOps for project management and Microsoft Azure
• Delivery focused with the ability to drive tasks forward and meet demanding deadlines
• Strong techno-functional analysis and researching skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong problem investigation and diagnosis skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people internally and externally
• Ability to maximize knowledge transfer through the production of high quality process documentation
