Job Description:

 

This role is for a hands-on developer with deep understanding of all aspects of a data project. This includes data architecture and data engineering. The ideal candidate should have an expertise in data solution including, Cloud Enabled data warehouse, data modeling, data integration and data visualization.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

 

Designing Data Solution on various platforms like Hadoop, Exadata, AWS and Snowflake using data engineering tools DataStage, Kafka, Talend and leveraging TIAA enterprise reporting applications Tableau, OBIEE

Collaborating with various technology and business teams in addressing business problems

Developing and Managing data pipelines, patterns, reusable frameworks using various tools

Providing expert and necessary support to production applications

 

Required Skills:

 

6 years' experience in Data space and overall 10 years in Technology Field

Building data solutions using Data warehouse principles and processes

Expertise on Hadoop platform components (CDH / CDP Preferred) - Hive, HDFS, MapReduce, Spark, HBase, Sqoop

Expertise in at least 1 data integration tool DataStage, Talend

Expert level knowledge on SQL and Data Modelling

Good Exposure of Cloud enabled data movement technologies, preferably AWS

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience in CI/CD Process

Experience with data virtualization technologies like Denodo

Experience with cloud data migrations

Good exposure to programming language like Java, Python, Scala
