Job Description:
Patching SME Summary As IT Operations SME assist our application teams in agile development, test and deployment automation practices. SME should be responsible in planning, design, develop, and support on patching and vulnerability in operations wor ld Responsibilities: # Application landscape maintenance and improvement # Architect or design, planning and implementation of high availability solutions with backups disaster recovery for each system. # Planning, maintaining, and monitoring systems. # Responsible for application upgrades, patching and backup together with infrastructure team and 3rd party vendors where applicable Implementing performance tuning systems based on monitoring. # Architect or design, planning and implementation of secure systems, internal tools and individual computers based on requirements and ISO27001 standards # Participate in periodic 24x7 on-call duties # Share support responsibilities for critical applications and customer journeys onboarded to SRE in cluding remediation of issues through Agile, conduct blameless postmortems, root cause analysis and introduce continuous improvement solving problems once and for all with the goal of no repeats. # Patching infrastructure on a regular basis ( automat ed plus manual) # Working with Application teams for patching applications # Managing the identified (InfoSec) application and infrastructure vulnerabilities, researching, partnering with Application, Infrastructure and Infosec teams and closing vuln erabilities based on SLA # Open-source managements, standardization of container base images Required Qualifications # Experience with one or more Cloud Platforms (Azure, GCP or AWS) # Experience with Container technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, PKS # Experience in managing cloud or hybrid infrastructure # Experience in patching # Experience setting up monitoring in applications and database # 3 years of systems support analysis experience demonstrated through work or military experience # 2 years of experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as JIRA # Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Desired Qualifications # Experience with Observability Monitoring technol.
