Job Title: Wireless Network Engineer III
Location: Englewood, CO – 100% onsite
Duration: 12+ month contract to hire (possibly may convert to FTE before 12 months)
JOB OVERVIEW
Performing planning, forecasting, implementation, and identification of resource requirements for wireless network systems of high complexity.
Designs, develops and implements wireless network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement.
Responsible for implementation of wireless network architecture and designs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in wireless network planning, wireless network architecture design and engineering.
Integrates and schematically depicts communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete wireless network configurations.
Evaluates new products, performs wireless network problem resolution.
Develops and implements approved methods of procedure.
Designs, develops and implements wireless network enhancements and makes recommendations for improvement.
Test new system releases and fixes for BNG (Broadband Network Gateway), Wireless Controllers, Wireless Access Points
Test system performance, functionality, and security fixes for BNG (Broadband Network Gateway), Wireless Controllers, Wireless Access Points
Troubleshoot various system integration issues impacting the end-to-end environments of the Managed WiFi solutions
Create detailed DSN (Design), IMP (Implementation Guides), CRT (Certification) documents for solutions and software releases supporting Managed WiFi solutions
Support Wireless Operations teams as-needed
Support other development and test projects within the ACE (Advanced Commercial Engineering) team as-needed
Troubleshoot various operating systems, services, applications, protocols, and network to cover all layers of the OSI model as-needed to support the full end-to-end environments for Managed WiFi solutions.
Coordinate with team mates both internally and externally of ACE (Advanced Commercial Engineering) to efficiently and effectively meet deadlines
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient data wireless networking knowledge (OSI Model, TCP/IP, etc.).
Proficient knowledge of related wireless industry specifications and standards IEEE, ANSI, 802.11 variants, Bridging, Switching, Routing, Ethernet and Transport technologies and protocols.
Proficient knowledge in wireless network design, wireless network architecture, protocols and wireless network topology.
Proficient knowledge of basic wireless network devices and basic wireless network appliances.
Proficient knowledge of wireless network designing software, such as Visio and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
