Detail Job Description:

A typical job description for a Core Banking Testing role involves developing, maintaining, and executing test plans for core banking systems. This includes creating automated tests, ensuring quality, and collaborating with other technical resources. The role also entails understanding business requirements and ensuring alignment with IT strategies. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Test Design and Development:

Translating business and system requirements into technical requirements for automation and software tools. Designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining automated tests and software tools. 

·        Test Execution:

Executing test plans, including manual and automated tests, to ensure quality and performance. 

·        Defect Management:

Monitoring, reporting, and managing testing defects, and ensuring retesting is performed. 

·        Collaboration:

Working closely with business analysts, developers, and other team members to understand requirements and ensure alignment. 

·        Quality Assurance:

Providing internal quality assurance for the core banking system and ensuring compliance with quality standards. 

·        Performance and Usability Testing:

Performing performance, reliability, scalability, and security testing to ensure the system meets business requirements. 

·        Communication:

Effectively communicating testing activities and findings in written and oral forms. 

·        Process Improvement:

Suggesting improvements for testing processes, best practices, and standards. 

 

·        Technical Skills:

Utilizing test automation tools, understanding test-driven design, and delivering accurate and maintainable code. 

·        Support and Documentation:

Providing support for core banking applications and documenting test cases and procedures. 

 

Required Skills and Experience:

·        Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of core banking systems, testing methodologies, and automation tools. 

·        Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, or others relevant to automation. 

·        Testing Tools: Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, TestComplete, or similar. 

·        SQL: Experience with SQL for database testing and querying. 

·        Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other teams. 

·        Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve defects. 

·        Software Engineering Principles: Understanding of software engineering principles and best practices. 

·        Experience with Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
