Position: Citrix XenApp Admin - - - # 606

Duration: 24 Months

Location: Menands, NY

Job Description:

Operational Tasks:

 

• Daily review of Citrix Alerts, Log Files, Microsoft Alerts to verify environment is operational for both Production and Development.
• Building and/or updating existing Citrix Images with latest software updates through vDisk versioning feature of Citrix Provisioning Services 6.1.
• Review and responding to trouble tickets received via MIS Ticketing System software (BMC FootPrints)
• Performing Microsoft Updates through WSUS to all Citrix infrastructure services servers
• Monitor physical and virtual environment for issues and work with vendors to open, track, and resolve issues as needed
• Provide backup support of the Production and Development Citrix XenApp 5.0 and/or 6.5 Environment as needed
• Power Shell Scripting, Batch File Creation

 

 

Project Tasks:

 

Assist with the design, implementation, migration, and testing of (2) Enterprise Citrix XenApp 5.0/6.0 environments to XenApp 6.5 to include Citrix technologies such as: XenApp 6.5, StoreFront and/or Web Interface, NetScaler, Receiver, User Profile Management, Licensing, Provisioning Services, XenServer as well as non-Citrix technologies such as: Microsoft SQL, DHCP, DFS, Clustering, WSUS, DNS, Active Directory, Terminal Server Licensing, and Digital Persona Biometric authentication

 

Candidates should have at least 84 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply:

 

• Citrix CCA for Citrix XenApp 5.0 Certification or Higher
• Citrix CCA for Citrix XenServer 5.0 Certification or Higher
• Citrix CCA for Citrix XenDesktop 4.0 Certification or Higher
• Experience in supporting a Citrix XenApp 5.0 or higher enterprise environment
• Experience with implementing a Citrix XenApp 6.0 or higher enterprise environment
• Experience in Microsoft Technologies supporting all of the following: Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS, TS Licensing, SQL, DFS, and Failover Clustering
• Experience administering an HP LeftHand Storage Solution(s)
• Experience writing PowerShell, Windows Batch, and Visual Basic Scripts
• Experience developing thin client images and techniques for deploying image updates
• Minimum of 12 months of Experience with Citrix Provisioning Services 6.0 or higher including troubleshooting, device creation, image creation and updating, and deployment.
