Requirement Details

Role: Senior Business Intelligence Engineer
Location: Lowell, MA
Term: 3 Month Contract (temp to perm for those interested in converting)

As a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer, you will be responsible for the development of complex reporting and data analysis systems that include dashboards, standard reports, and ad-hoc reporting capabilities. Interested candidates must be able to follow best practices for Business Intelligence implementations 

Responsibilities:
* Design, document, and implement .NET modules for our Business Intelligence solutions 
* Participate in design, architecture and testing initiatives 
* Debug, monitor, and troubleshoot our code and deployed solutions
* Write relational and multidimensional database queries 
* Design, create , deploy and maintain ETL processes
* Create and deploy BI reports
* Configure, deploy, and maintain releases 
* Work with DBA and performance engineers to enhance and optimize existing solutions 
* Analyze SQL code for problem resolution and performance optimization
* Assist in the resolution of database capacity issues, replication, and other data issues
* Assist with test planning on performance and load testing of large data (terabytes)

Required Skills/Knowledge:
* Over 5 years of ETL and DW experience a large production environment
* Experience creating and maintaining SSIS packages
* Proven experience with SQL server 2008, DW dimensional modeling and OLAP cubes
* Minimum 5 years developing reports and dashboards on SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or other reporting tools 
* Experience working with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
* Experience working with OLAP tools such as Microsoft Analysis Services and writing complex MDX queries (other tools are acceptable)
* Experience in developing applications using C# 
* Working Knowledge of ETL, data warehousing and modeling preferred 
* Working Knowledge of Visio, TFS, ERWin is preferred
* Experience in an Agile Scrum environment 
* Ability to work in a team environment
