Job Description: SUMMARY OF POSITION
· The Java Support analyst delivers incident and problem management Support Services primarily within the client's SAP application landscape. · They resolve issues in line with client requirements in accordance with ITIL methodology. · The Java Support Analyst with Supply Chain experience will be trained on supporting the Movilizer application and will be responsible for Level 2 Production Support for in that area.
POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Functional /Technical · 3+ years of demonstrated hands on experience in supporting business applications. · Deep java expertise and certification desirable · Movilizer experience a significant plus · In-depth understanding of Supply Chain Management functionality · Familiar with ITSM / Service Desk ticketing systems Tasks · Understands how to work in a managed service environment · Understands the functionality being supported and is capable of providing guidance on the use of the application · Responsible for response and resolution for incidents in accordance to Service Level Agreements · Makes suggestions for continuous improvement to address deficiencies · Provides timely updates and responses to support requests · Verifies the priority and severity of support requests · Accurately documents the reported issues and resolutions · Ensures accurate categorization of incidents and problems · Identifies and provides workarounds for common issues · Uses basic problem solving skills to resolve reported incidents · Escalates incidents / problems to a higher level of expertise within the organization
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Self-starter, works independently · Demonstrated initiative, good judgment, and ability to achieve results Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms to end users · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills. Attention to detail. · Ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks. · Ability to follow corporate standards with respect to tools and processes · Ability to handle multiple assignments
