Position Title: Subject Matter Expert

Location: Baltimore, MD

Length: 12 months Contract

Description

The SME shall provide hands-on configuration and support necessary to maintain the S in line with the operational and strategic goals.  This selected candidate shall collaborate with personnel from Instruction, Curriculum, and IT as well as  staff in order to provide direct technical assistance to internal and  stakeholders, including, teachers and students.

The SME shall also define, develop, and implement configuration activities that include but are not limited to:

• ·         Provide initial and ongoing  configuration changes for course delivery, content management, and community engagement for the Blackboard application
• ·         Coordinate the implementation of vendor deployed upgrades and service packs
• ·         Conduct role base assignment and management, keeping a strict account of all who have access to the application
• ·         Maintain inventory of Community Engagement and Content Management configurations, settings, etc.
• ·         Retrieve and disseminate information on new product functionality to appropriate groups for end user support and training
• ·         Create and manage courses under development and provide access to users for those courses
• ·         Test product updates and third party tools such as application building blocks
• ·         Act as main point of contact with Vendor Managed Hosting / Support

1.      Open and work through trouble tickets

2.      Coordinate application changes and updates.

3.      Communicate potential issues to appropriate teams

·         Coordinate all off-site on demand backups.
