Job Title: Data Analyst/Data Architect/SR

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 6+ months

Position Description:

- Participate in the implementation of ADE’s new state educational system data repositories. Prepare source data analyses and source to target mappings. Develop views and stored procedures for conversion of existing educational system data into the new repositories (50%)

- Assist application development teams by creating effective database designs from business requirements using best practices modeling techniques (50%)

Required Experience:

Operating Systems/Environment:

- MS Office (3-5 yrs required) 

- MS Visio (3-5 yrs required) 

Database System/Database Tools:

- SQL Server 2005/2008 (Solid knowledge of relational data and SQL Server 2005/2008 database objects. Solid knowledge of best practice relational database design. Familiarity with dimensional models and databases)

- Transact-SQL (Working knowledge of data profiling.  Solid knowledge of T-SQL coding best practices)

Misc. Applications:

- Analytical ability (Ability to grasp, analyze and clearly document complex concepts. Investigative/detective orientation. Detail orientation, Problem solving skills. Grasp of the power of data and the criticality of its quality. Ability to perform to stated due dates and to produce expected results with little supervision)

Preferred Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, IT/IS or Business. Familiarity with elementary statistical concepts, e.g., descriptive statistics, regression. Familiarity with enterprise data modeling software, in particular, ER/Studio Data Architect
