Position: Technical Writer
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 24 Months
Rate: $28/hour on C2C

 

 

 

Job Description:

Development of professionally-written manuals and digital documents essential for

a) the progression of our Electronic Approval and Payment Program for D&C contracts and b) changes to internal processes to comply with enhancements implemented within the current New York State Finance System. Specifically, day-to-day tasks will include, but is not necessarily be limited to: user manuals (for internal staff and vendors), on-line help instructions, procedure manuals for internal staff, web page instructions and marketing materials, training materials (including PowerPoint presentations), e-mail notifications and announcements, and technical and system specifications.

 

Candidates should have at least 60 months experience, and at least one of the following should apply:

·         Experience using Adobe RoboHelp or equivalent software packages to develop Internet-based documentation, guidelines, training materials, etc.

·         Experience as an advisor to executive management, making recommendations on current digital media techniques such as web design, computer graphic, and online technical documentation, etc..

·         Writing experience in developing technical documentation for construction systems.

·         Writing experience in developing technical documentation for the legal/contracting systems.

·         Writing experience in developing technical documentation for e-commerce systems.

·         Bachelor's Degree, with coursework in English or Technical Communications. Proof of Degree documentation to be attached with submission.
