Role:: Business Analyst with Annuity Insurance

Location:: Jersey City, New Jersey

Duration:: 12+ months

 

 

Job Description::

Technical/Functional Skills        

             Domain expertise in  Retirement Services  / Plan Management industry -  Defined Contributions, Enrollment, Salary Reduction, Employer sponsored retirement plans (401k,  and 403bs, IRA's, SEP IRA's  etc.) is preferable

             Ability to negotiate equally with IT and Business stakeholders

             Must have a good grasp of web front-end technology, Javascript, etc., but no coding expertise necessary

             Must have Agile, Scrum experience; Advanced expertise in Excel and Word

             Must be reliable and responsive to client and/or management requests

             Excellent people / relationship management, and relationship building skills.

             Strong communication skills, effective listening, oral, and written communication, exhibit good conflict management skills and advanced negotiation techniques

             Basic Task Management skills and ability to work effectively with virtual teams

             Ability to facilitate a large group (10+ people) to a common objective

 

Experience Required     >=8 Years

 

Roles & Responsibilities             

             Document business and technical integration requirements and provide the tactical or strategic recommendations about necessary enhancements to mobile and web based applications

             Perform gap analysis under the direction of the Manager or Project Manager

             Must be able to facilitate business requirements gathering and definition in various formats including joint collaboration sessions with business and IT, targeted Q&A sessions with multiple Subject Matter Experts, and one-on-one user interviews in order to provide solutions that meet business and user need

             Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to specifications

             Negotiate deliverables by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementation

             Analyze business partner operations to understand their strengths / weaknesses and determine opportunities to improve / automate processes and functions

             Document business and functional requirements, technical design specifications, business processes and recommendations as appropriate

             Create and execute test plans, document requirements traceability and coverage matrices, create mock-ups of User Interface change requirements using MS-Office documentation as needed.
