| Job Description | To Develop components using Spring framework, spring batch framework
• Ownership of technical designs, code development, and component test execution to demonstrate adherence to the functional specification. • Using configuration management and integration/build automation tools to manage and deploy Java code. • Applying knowledge of common, relevant architecture frameworks in defining and evaluating application architectures. • Performing code reviews and providing critical suggestions for fixes and improvements • Supporting issue analysis and fix activities during test phases, as well as production issue resolution. • Troubleshooting and performance tuning Java-based applications. • Developing and demonstrating a broad set of technology skills in Java technologies, Service Oriented Architecture concepts, Open Source libraries and frameworks, and technology architecture concepts. • Collaborating within a project team comprised of talented employees with diverse and complementary skills.
Technical Skills 3-5 years of demonstrated experience architecting, designing, and developing Java-based applications utilizing Spring, jQuery, JSON, AJAX, CSS3 technologies.

Additional Security Requirements
Eligibility: To be eligible to work on the USPS Engagement, a candidate:
· US citizen. If someone is a permanent resident we may be able to get them through the USPS security clearance process if they have lived in the US for at least 5 years and have not been out of the country for more than 6 months during that time (except for business travel). Sometimes it is challenging to find permanent residents who meet the residency and travel requirements.
· Cannot have traveled outside the US for more than 6 months total in the last five years. (Unless served in military when outside US or reason listed below)
· Must be able to acquire USPS Security Clearance. Must take a drug test and be fingerprinted as part of the USPS security clearance process.
Candidate cannot have traveled outside of the US for a total period of 6 months in the last 5 years, unless they fall under one of the exceptions listed below:
· Trailing spouse or dependent of someone in the US Military Missionary
· Student attending school in a foreign country
· Peace Corps participant
· Employee of a US based employer/company
· If he/she falls under one of these exceptions, he/she must provide either one of the following:
· A letter of recommendation from the company/school/church stating that as far as they know he/she did not engage in any criminal activity during the time that he/she was with them overseas
· A criminal history report, with translation, from the country where the applicant resided
