System Administrator III

Location: Stamford, CT

CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO GET TO STAMFORD, CT FOR AN IN-PERSON INTERVIEW.

 

Responsible for the implementation of operating system, database, or network projects. Installs new releases of operating systems products from various vendors such as IBM and DEC.

A Bachelor's Degree in MIS or Computer Science or a minimum of five years as a Lead/Senior Engineer in the financial services sector is required.

·         Strong skills are required in all areas of System Administration to include (but not be limited to):
Expert knowledge of Windows (2003, 2008, 2012) and Windows products/solutions (Directory Services, SMS) and ability to read and write sophisticated scripts (command shell, PowerShell, VBScript, etc...)

·         Infoblox IPAM solutions

·         Client hardware and hardware management systems (SIM, iLO, blade systems, etc...)

·         An ability to interact with and help clients with varying degrees of technical sophistication

·         Ability to learn new technology rapidly is critical

·         Must have financial services experience.

·         Proficient in documentation and report generation.

·         Ability to accomplish projects independently involving a variety of computing technologies.

Additional Preferred Skills:

·         EMC SAN (DMX, Symmetrix CLARiiON)
• NetApp Filers
• Experience with the IBM Tivoli system management/performance monitoring application and how to tie it into the Windows 
• Working knowledge of Solaris/Linux
• Understanding of project management skills and techniques
• Exposure to Cisco hardware and software
• Exposure to MSSQL, Sybase, and Oracle RDBMS (basic DBA tasks such as creating tables and accounts)
Personal Attributes: (optional)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team
