Job Title:  Web Logic Admin

Location:   Washington DC

Duration: 6-12  Months Contract 

Required background:

8+ years of IT industry experience and Extensive Experience in BEA Weblogic 7.x/8.x/9.2/10.3/11g and Administration/Development/Deployment and other Servers (Apache Server, iPlanet & IIS). 

Proven skills in Troubleshooting, Performance Tuning and Performance Monitoring of Weblogic Server administration.

Experience in Administration of BEA Weblogic Application Server 10.2/9.2/8.1, IPlanet Web Server on Sun-Solaris 9 & 10, Red Hat Linux 6.x/7.x/8.0 and Windows NT/2000 environments.

Solid experience in deploying the applications on multiple Weblogic Servers and maintaining Load balancing and High availability.

Extensive experience in Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting of Weblogic Application servers in a domain and migration of applications from Web Logic 8.1 and 9.2/11g.

Administrating the BEA console, Node Manager and Command-Line interface.

Deploying J2EE Applications and Monitoring the Application servers and Web servers, configuration, troubleshooting performance issues using the Log messages and Log files.

Configure and monitor JMS Server in Weblogic and tuned the application.

Involved in migration from previous versions to current Weblogic Server version.

Managed and administered Domains, nodes, managed servers instances in BEA Weblogic server

Excellent application development and interfacing experience with LDAP using Netscape directory Server.

Good BASH (shell) scripting skills in UNIX

Installation, configuration of hardware and software, migrating systems to current OS releases, upgrading software and tools.

Extensively worked on Server Configuration, Deployment of components and performance tuning including troubleshooting and maintenance.

Configured Clusters, load-balancing and fail-over solutions and Web Server plugins for Weblogic application server.

Exposure on Wily Introscope and Monitoring applications in production environment.

Excellent knowledge and experience in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle 9i and MS SQL server databases.
