VB.Net Developer
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Duration: 12 month Contract.

Job Description:
Purpose:
Augment the application development staff of the Operations Development Team
Technologies: Visual studio 2010, C#, Visual Basic, ASP.Net, IIS, SQL Server 2008, SQL Server Integration Services, MS Access 2010
Additional Notes:
· Visual studio 2010/VB.Net/ C#/ASP.Net/IIS (at least 3 years' experience in development, testing and deployment)
· SQL Server 2008- (3-5 years and should know complex queries, stored procedures, triggers)
· MS Access 2010- (Should be able to understand/read existing MS access application)
Job Duties:
- Development of enhancements, interfaces, and business rules in the Engineering Personnel System (EPS) application
- Work with functional users to define application requirements
- Identify issues and risks and escalate or coordinate resolution
- Manage customer expectations
- Adhere to Amtrak's code standards and release management practices
- Monitor and analyze metrics to ensure successful delivery
- Assist in defining and reviewing requirements, including security, integration, performance, quality, and operations
