Title: SAP BW/BO Consultant 

Location: Irwindale, CA

Duration: 8+ Months

Details:

Minimum 6 years of SAP BI/BW experience in implementation, support & maintenance operations including BPC and BODS

• Perform Business Warehouse reporting implementation for ongoing projects using SAP 

• Participate in new projects from a BW development standpoint to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with SAP Best Practices and also completed on time

• Gather requirements for BI queries and reports, ensuring proper usage, quality and security of the information provided

• Work from the functional/business requirements to design and develop BW objects (install standard objects, enhance existing objects, and create custom objects) like info objects, business content, info sources, data targets, transfer rules, update rules, etc.

• Review existing design landscape and propose changes if necessary. Propose solutions from a technical standpoint to make sure that we build the right reporting decisions.

• Identify areas of operational improvement by utilizing system functionality and provide end user training programs, report design, and system testing

• Design, automate and deliver standardized reporting to multiple business unit leaders, Assist in configuring security roles and authorizations for both BW objects and reports

• Provide support and maintenance including: end-user support, service incidents/problem resolution, testing, coordination with other IT teams and communication with impacted users

• Simplify and standardize business processes and IT department solutions. A cross-functional support role to the organization that interfaces with multiple departments and locations and requires building strong relationships with internal business customers, technology team and consultants

• Manage and monitor SAP BW query utilization to identify areas of improvement, Document SLA for reporting based on report types

• Management of existing queries and batch processes that require routine and/or manual changes

• Enforce and Ensure reporting SLA's are being met on a consistent basis

• Work on Integration between Crystal Reports and SAP Business Warehouse

• Analyze current business requirements and architect solutions within the SAP BI (Business Intelligence) - BODS (Data Services ETL) & BO (Business Objects) environment. Develop data models in SQL server data mart and relevant SAP BODS ETL mappings. 

• Analyze/design/develop BO reports for supply chain data. Manage/Lead a team of offshore developers (Data/ETL/BI) and manage client expectations.
