The role includes design, develop and maintain key Security Engineering products/features targeted towards availability, performance and scalability of PayPal services. The role expects high standard of engineering excellence with practical experience in building and maintaining internet-scale applications and services. Experience with applied cryptography is good to have.

We are looking for a software engineer passionate about digital security, thrives in a dynamic close-knit collaborative environment and loves working on challenging real world security problems.
· 5+ years of experience in C++

Experienced in performing operational activities
• Seek out opportunities to develop and improve existing automation processes
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, with a willingness to resolve problems
• Collect and report on operational metrics for SLA reporting and capacity planning

Education and Experience
• Bachelors in computer science with 5+ years of experience or Masters in computer science and 4+ years of experience in the industry; 4+ in DevOps or a similar role
• Good experience in Python and Unix Shell Scripting

Design and implement next generation platform security products to enable PayPal's product development.
Develop innovative solutions and high quality products alongside core security architecture and engineering teams that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability and reliability.
Design, implement, and test next generation key management product features to secure sensitive data. Quality code reviews to validate against the secure coding guidelines, ensuring that the code conforms to the design. Triage and fix production issues.
