Job Title: Hadoop Spark - LEAD       

Location: Atlanta, GA

Position type: Long term Contract

Rate: DOE   

 

Job Description:

Overall industry experience: Depending on role – Dev/Sr. Dev: 3-5 years and Lead / 6 – 10 years

 

Location: Onshore and Offshore

The candidate is expected to be a Data Engineer and Consultant who can interact with clients with a large Cloudera Hadoop footprint (including HDFS, Hive, MapReduce, Oozie, Presto etc.), drive technical discussions, lead assessment of existing Mapreduce design, implementation and configurations, its integration with other technologies and build Apache Spark conversions.

An ideal candidate must have been in a Data Engineering role working on the Hadoop ecosystem and Spark.

 

The candidate is expected to have the following expertise with prior experience (must have)

 

1. Mandatory to have end to end experience working in a Hadoop Data environment (Dev, QA and Prod) with large data sets (Petabytes).

2. Experience with MapReduce code builds and deployments for data sourcing and loads into Hadoop ecosystem

3. Very comfortable with HIVE and HIVEQL

4. Comfortable with the broader Hadoop ecosystem – HDFS, Yarn, Ambari, Zookeeper, Presto

5. Experience working on Apache Spark creating data processing jobs and running them on Spark clusters

6. Data migration experience from Hadoop On Prem to HDInsights preferred.

7. Knowledge of challenges faced in converting MapReduce jobs to Spark.

8. Must have worked on several projects in the Big data space.

 

Hands-on with experience with

1. Cloudera Hadoop 5.x: __________Years

2. Hadoop experience: 2-4 years : ____Years

3. Spark experience – 2-4 years : ________Years

4. Experience on Azure Data stack - prefered: _______Years

5. Map Reduce: _______Years

6. LEAD: _______Years
