Senior Business Intelligence/ Data Warehousing

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Develops analytic and visualization solutions aligned to defined business requirements.

• Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define/document business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems and process issues

• Champion quality of reporting by performing in-depth quality assurance tests, including end-user reviews, for new items and modifications to existing items

• Gain practical, working knowledge of ways business users leverage historical data to understand trends and answer questions

• Lead requirements sessions in order to enhance business processes, operations, and information process flow

• Make recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of existing reporting capabilities

• Collaborate in the planning, design, testing, and deployment of new data objects, measures, dimension attributes, and cubes

• Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address analysis solutions to existing business challenges

• Create process flows, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers

• Provide post-implementation support

• Provide orientation and training to end users

• Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members

• Partner with internal business constituents to facilitate, implement, and support processes and controls that increase overall efficiencies and decrease applicable risks to the enterprise

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

• 5+ years in dashboarding through Power BI or any other equivalent tools (Tableau, Looker, etc.)

• 5+ years experience building quality reports and visualizations with basic knowledge of database design and data modeling

• 5+ years experience in business analysis and gathering requirements in Data Analytics/Business Intelligence

• 5+ years of SQL experience to facilitate data profiling and understanding

• 5+ years of practical experience in source and destination data mapping, ETL definition, data-oriented business rule definition

 

Preferred Skills/ Knowledge:

 

• Experience translating requirements into test scripts as well as executing test scripts

• Experience with core business processes across various functions, including, but not limited to, Finance, Accounting, HR, CRM, Sales, Marketing

• Azure Devops

• Snowflake and Microsoft  SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS

• Microsoft Azure Analytics technologies
