Job Title: Release Train Engineer

Location: Lincolnshire, IL

Duration: Long Term

 

Mandatory Skillset:

ü  Strong Program and Project Management Skills with experience in Managing IT Digital Automation and Innovation Programs.

ü  Professional expertise in managing large-scale Digital transformation projects.

ü  Collaborate with the program management office on reporting project status, issues, risks, and benefits.

ü  Solid understanding of Automation applications.               

ü  Managing Projects on-time and within budget. Project schedule management, Scope management, Risk management and must be able to drive multiple teams effectively.

ü  Project stakeholder management and drive/conduct workshops, focused sessions, management cadences as and when needed.

ü  Strong Leadership, analytical thinking, problem solving, and great communication skills.

ü  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on project management of large and small initiatives.

ü  Ability to quickly define dependencies, issues, and outline mitigation plans against risks.

ü  Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to lead in a cross-functional, matrix management environment

 

Role & Responsibilities:

Professional expertise in managing large-scale projects. Extensive experience working with diverse IT and Business teams.

Collaborate with the program management office on reporting project status, issues, risks, and benefits. Solid understanding of Automation applications. Managing Projects on time and within budget. Project schedule management, Scope management, Risk management and must be able to drive multiple teams effectively. Project stakeholder management and drive/conduct workshops, focused sessions, management cadences as and when needed.               Strong Leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and great communication skills. Manage and help streamline our internal escalation process around services deal conflict to efficiently facilitate quick responses and report on key performance indicators.

 

ü  Manage program level coordination, such as creating timelines, milestones, and cadence of increments and releases, and oversee the development of reports and analyses that document program activity

ü  Lead project teams and provide and leadership; act as consultant/coach to management in resolving unusually difficult problems

ü  Develop/modify processes, policies, and procedures to facilitate the working relationship between Global Technology and its business functions/partners

ü  Participate and assist budget related discussions through features and capability estimations

ü  Plan, Schedule Program Increments

ü  Facilitate Program Increments event. Conduct pre and post PI events

ü  Prepare and publish PI Objectives considering teams' PI Objectives

ü  Facilitate periodic synchronization events, including the ART sync

ü  Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment

ü  Manage risks and dependencies. Escalate and track impediments

ü  Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments

ü  Facilitate system demos

ü  Achieve continuous improvement through inspect and adapt process. Gather feedback and generate required metrics to find improvement opportunities.

ü  Organizes and presents business, technical and program reviews/status to Senior Leadership using digital media, dashboards, and JIRA agile project management tools.
