Full Stack Developer with expertise in Java, Typescript, React, Spring, Node, GraphQL or similar technologies.  You will perform new design/enhancements and development in the higher education technology sector.  The ideal candidate must be a self starter that can identify and resolve issues autonomously and collaboratively at the appropriate times.  The candidate must have extensive experience developing scalable software that utilizes cloud based services and client/server architecture that includes API design, security protocols such as OIDC or SAML and infrastructure as code concepts.

Responsibilities

 

Front end development using a variety of modern technologies

Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules

Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges

Take ownership of existing build and deployment pipelines

Develop unit and system-level testing modules including Groovy and Postman.

Coordinate and communicate with remote team members in an Agile development environment

Primary Technology

 

Java, Typescript, React JS, SQL/RDBMS, Node JS, Postman, Jenkins, Docker and Docker Compose, GIT

 

Critical Skills and Qualifications

 

Java

React JS

SQL/RDBMS

JPA

At least one testing framework

Postman

Jenkins

Docker and Docker Compose

GIT

Ability to leverage infrastructure-as-code tooling for repeatable configuration across dev, staging, and production environments

Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages

Understanding of accessibility and security compliance

Highly productive in a remote-work environment

Desired Skills and Qualifications

 

DevOps experience and tools: Kubernetes, Jenkins

Netflix stack: Conductor

Node JS

Working knowledge of terraform, cloud formation, or similar tooling

Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions

Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds

Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL data
